Jamian Smith is a native of Duplin County, NC and currently resides in Holly Springs, NC. He is the husband to Tierra Smith and the father of two (Kennedy and Kaleb Smith). Jamian is a member of the 2011 graduating class here at Saint Augustine’s University, studying Engineering Mathematics. During his time here at Saint Augustine’s University, Jamian was an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Along with his rigorous Engineering studies, Jamian was a standout wide-receiver on the football team where he collected numerous “Player of The Week” awards, All-Conference honors, records at the wide-receiver position and selected to the HBCU All-Star Bowl. After graduation, he went on to complete his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Elizabeth City State University in 2014. Throughout his career, Jamian has held Data Scientist positions with multiple Fortune 500 companies and a top 15 accounting firm. As he continues to make waves in the analytics field with his continuous progression as a Data Scientist, Jamian has also begun his journey as an entrepreneur running his own e-commerce company where his true passion lies.
