Registration Instructions – To avoid LONG lines please complete as many steps as possible before returning for the Fall 2016 semester.  Please make sure to submit all forms in a timely manner.

Step 1

Register for Classes using your CAMS Student Online Portal

Step 2

ALL Students must submit a Housing Application or Waiver Form.
*After completion of the Housing Application or Housing Waiver Form proceed to do the following:
  Pay ONLINE your $100.00 deposit for the Housing Application (only boarding students)
  Please have the “On Campus Housing Waiver” (non-boarding students) notarized.

Step 3
Financial Aid             919-516-4131  
 * Complete the 2016–17 FAFSA at and SAU’s code is 002968.
 * Submit ALL documents requested by the Financial Aid Office.
 * Go to CAMS Student Ledger to verify your Financial Aid Award 2016-17.
 * If you have not completed the Entrance Loan Counseling and Master Promissory Note (First-time   
    borrowers) please visit (use the FSA ID and Password you used to  
    complete your FAFSA-see option for a forgotten password).
* Parents may apply for a Parent Plus loan and complete the parent plus MPN by going to (Parent must use their FSA ID and Password- see options for a
   forgotten password) (Parent must use their FSA ID and Password-
   see options for a forgotten password).

* All students are required to have Health Insurance and will be automatically enrolled in SAU’s Health Insurance Plan. However, if you have your own Private Health Insurance please complete the SAU Health Insurance Waiver Formand provide a copy of the front and back of your Insurance Card.  These documentations are due by August 30, 2016.  Failure to return the completed form and a copy of the Insurance Card will result in NO REFUND of the insurance charge on the student’s account.

Once you have:

  1. Classes in the CAMS System
  2. Submitted the Housing Application or Housing Waiver
  3. Submitted All Financial Aid documents
  4. Completed the Health Insurance Waiver Form

Get Identification Cards Validated and Pick Up Room Key.
***If you have not paid your housing deposit or if you have a past due balance, you will not be able to move into the dormitory until you are Officially Validated (BOA).

Text Book Order Process
*Once you are Officially Validated (BOA), you should receive an email within 72 hours from MBS Book Vendor to order your textbooks.  If you have not received an email within 72 hours, please contact Ms Tonya Harris at (919) 516-4574.
